MOM! Q&A with CRESS - Kids Sustainable Shopping & Selling

- 3 minute read:

When we were approached by CRESS to partner with them and sell Martha Oh My! products on their 'New Sustainable' section of their marketplace, it was really a no-brainer.

CRESS are a Manchester based online marketplace and are already making waves winning ‘Force of Fashion’ at the This is Manchester Awards awards 2024.

Here’s our MOM! Q&A with Katherine Molyneux - Head of Community, to find out more about what they do.

How did Cress come about?

We started Cress as we were unhappy with the current methods of reselling children’s products, and were shocked at the amount of waste created by fast fashion brands. We wanted to solve problems for time-poor parents and create a company that gives back to communities.

What sets Cress apart from other sites, like Vinted?

Community is the beating heart of Cress and we want to grow a community of likeminded parents and businesses. We offer a service that no one else does by taking all the hassle away for the busy parent – just send us a bag of items and we do the rest for you! We’re also a marketplace for both preloved and sustainably made new products, solely for children – which sets us apart. Parents trust us and the brands we work with. We also partner with PTA’s to raise moneys for schools and put money back into local communities.

What advice would you give to our followers who are thinking of selling any pre-loved clothing?

Go for it! Also decide whether you’re wanting to manage it all yourself, or want a hassle free way of selling. It should be fun, not stressful so do what works for you!

Why did you want to partner with Martha Oh My!?

When I first saw Martha Oh My! I instantly loved them and wished I had something so stylish and fun when weaning my own children. Children’s products don’t need to be either garish or minimalist and I loved the beautiful designs, practicality and sustainability of Martha Oh My! products. When speaking to Helen, I loved her passion for her brand and the alignment of ethics made Martha Oh My! and Cress a perfect fit!

Thanks Kat for taking part in our first ever MOM! Q&A.

You can now find Martha Oh My! here under their Sustainable-New section.
